You’re an Inventory manager — where to begin
You own the product catalog and everything about stock: what exists, how much you have, and where it is.What you can do
- Full access to Products — create products, package them into offers, build combos.
- Full access to Inventory — receive stock, run transfers, log purchases, manage waybills.
- View orders and deliveries (read-only), so you know what’s selling and what’s shipped.
- View the delivery agent roster (read-only), since stock sits with them too.
What you can’t do
- No editing orders or assigning staff.
- No Cashflow or Remittance.
- No staff management.
Where to begin
- Set up your catalog. Add your first product covers products and offers. If you sell bundles, read Bundle products with combos too.
- Get stock into the system. Manage stock and waybills — receive opening stock at your store, then move it out to delivery agents as waybills.
- Understand where stock actually leaves the system. Stock isn’t decremented when you dispatch an order — only when it’s marked
Delivered, and only at the location that delivered it. Read Understand the order lifecycle for why that matters. - Watch the balances, not just the totals. EcommOS tracks stock per location — your store and every delivery agent separately. A product can show healthy total stock while one agent is actually out.
