You’re a General Manager — where to begin

General Manager is the role the Owner hands the business to when they want daily operations run without handing over billing. If you were invited as “Manager,” that’s the same role — General Manager is just the label you’ll see everywhere in the app.

What you can do

Everything operational:
  • See and act on every order, delivery, and inventory record.
  • Manage delivery agents and dispatch.
  • Manage Cashflow and Remittance.
  • Invite and manage staff (any role except Owner).
  • Change business settings and order-status configuration.

What you can’t do

  • Manage billing.
  • Transfer ownership or delete the business.
  • Edit what each role is allowed to do — you can see the role permissions on the Staff page, but you can’t change them.

Where to begin

  1. Check the queue first. Open Work the order queue — as General Manager you see every order, not just one rep’s.
  2. Check your team is scoped correctly. Go to Add staff and set roles and confirm every Sales rep has product access, or new orders will sit unassigned.
  3. Check deliveries and stock together. Hand off confirmed orders to deliveries and Manage stock and waybills — as General Manager, both are yours to watch.
  4. Check money is moving. Cashflow and Remittance show you what’s coming in and what delivery agents still owe.
  5. Turn on alerts. Notifications and queue configuration so you’re not the last to know about a stuck order.

A useful habit

Start your day on Dashboard — it’s the fastest way to see what’s unattended, what’s dispatched, and what’s still awaiting remittance before you go screen by screen.
