Starter setup checklist

This is the fastest path to your first real, delivered, remitted order. Follow it top to bottom on day one.

The 5-step path

​

1. Create your first product

A product unlocks forms, offers, stock, and order workflows. Add at least one offer so customers have something to pick. → Add your first product

2. Add opening stock

Receive your starting stock at your store location. Stock can sit at your store or with delivery agents; either way, EcommOS tracks it per location. → Manage stock and waybills

3. Create your first sales form

Attach a public form to your product, copy the hosted link, and test one submission. This is the canonical intake path for customer orders. → Create your first sales form

4. Invite at least one Sales rep

Sales reps work the order queue. Without one, every form order lands unassigned. Scope the rep to your product so round-robin assignment can route orders to them. → Add staff and set roles

5. Turn on order alerts

Register a push token for each active user so assignment notifications reach their device. Without alerts, reps have to poll the queue. → Notifications and queue configuration

6. Receive your first non-test order

Submit a real order through your live form URL (or create one manually). Confirm it gets a sequential order number, routes to the right rep, and appears in the queue. → Create and handle your first order

Onboarding progress states

EcommOS tracks your setup progress internally through these states. You do not need to manage them manually; they update as you complete the steps above.

1. org — organization created
2. team — at least one active staff member
3. product — at least one product
4. inventory — at least one stock movement
5. first_order — at least one non-test order
6. notifications — push token registered
7. complete — all of the above

Common day-one mistakes

• Creating a product without an offer. Forms require an offer to surface to customers.
• Inviting a rep without product scope. The rep will exist but round-robin will skip them.
• Skipping push registration. Notifications are stored, but without a token the rep never gets the alert.
• Mixing test and real orders. Test orders are flagged, but they still appear in queues unless filtered out.
