Track income and expenses with Cashflow

Cashflow is your money-in, money-out ledger — everything you’ve earned and everything you’ve spent, in one place. (If you’ve seen the word “Accounting” in older material, it’s the same feature — the app only ever calls it Cashflow.)

The overview numbers

  • Income — money that’s come in, including remitted orders and anything you record manually.
  • Expenses — money that’s gone out.
  • Expected income — orders that have been delivered but not yet remitted. This is not the same as pending or in-transit orders; it’s specifically cash that’s already collected by a delivery agent but not yet handed back to you.
  • Net income — income minus expenses for the period.

Record income or an expense

  1. Go to Cashflow → Records.
  2. Click Record income or Record expense.
  3. Enter the amount, a category, a date, and an optional note. You can link it to an order or a delivery agent if it’s relevant.
  4. Save.
Categories aren’t fixed — create ones that match how you actually track money: delivery cost, packaging, ads, staff pay, whatever makes sense for your business.

How remittance feeds Cashflow

When an order gets marked remitted, EcommOS automatically creates an income record here — you don’t need to enter it twice. If the recorded amount needs correcting later, you can edit that Cashflow entry directly without changing the underlying remittance record on the order. There’s no delete on Cashflow entries today — only create and edit. If something was recorded wrong, correct it rather than trying to remove it.
