Create your account and workspace

Your EcommOS workspace is an organization. Everything inside it — products, orders, staff, stock, money records — is scoped to that org and isolated from every other tenant.

Before you begin

  • A merchant email you actively check (used for verification and owner login).
  • A business name (used on order references and reports).
  • A phone number for owner/staff contact.

Step 1: Sign up

  1. Open the EcommOS app and choose Sign up.
  2. Enter your email and password.
  3. Check your inbox for the verification email and confirm.
  4. If the link expires, use Forgot password to reset.

Step 2: Create your organization

  1. After email verification, create or select an organization.
  2. Enter your business name. This becomes your org identity in the app.
  3. The system provisions your owner role and membership automatically — you do not configure that manually.
If you already belong to another org (for example as a manager), you can switch active organization from the workspace switcher.

Step 3: Run the starter setup wizard

The first time you enter your new org, the onboarding wizard offers to scaffold your first operational setup in one pass:
  • A starter product
  • A matching sales form
  • A default offer
  • Optional opening stock at your store location
  • Your owner staff profile and product scope (if not already present)
Accept the wizard. It collapses five setup moves into one round trip and lands you on the onboarding checklist.

Step 4: Finish the onboarding checklist

The checklist tracks real tenant data, not button clicks. Each item clears when the underlying record exists: You can complete the checklist in any order, but the recommended path is product → stock → form → first order → alerts. See Starter setup checklist.

Step 5: Verify your role and access

As the owner, you can see every app area: Dashboard, Orders, Products, Staff, Inventory, Cashflow, Notifications. Every other role — General Manager, Sales manager, Sales rep, Logistics manager, Inventory manager, Accountant — sees a restricted set based on their role and product access. See Roles for what each one covers, and Add staff and set roles to set it up.
