# You're a Sales rep — where to begin

You work orders that are assigned to you — calling customers, confirming orders, and moving them forward. This is the default role for anyone invited to EcommOS.

## What you can do

* See and work your own assigned orders.
* Create manual orders (for customers who call or message you directly).
* Move your orders through status: `New`, `Confirmed`, `Rescheduled`, `Could not reach`, `Cancelled`.
* Add notes to orders.
* View products and your own dashboard.

## What you can't do

* You can't see other reps' orders, or the unassigned pool.
* You can't reassign orders, manage staff, touch inventory, or see finance.

## Where to begin

1. **Open your queue.** Go to [Work the order queue](/docs/operations/order-queue) — it defaults to your assigned orders only.
2. **Learn the statuses.** Read [Create and handle your first order](/docs/getting-started/first-order) for what each status means and when to use it.
3. **Turn on notifications.** New orders get assigned to you automatically. Without a push token registered, you won't get an alert — see [Notifications and queue configuration](/docs/operations/notifications-and-queue).
4. **Use the shortcuts.** Every order has one-tap **Call** and **WhatsApp** buttons, plus **Copy order text** for a ready-made WhatsApp summary. You shouldn't need to retype customer details.

## What good looks like

Every new order gets a contact attempt the same day. Only move an order to `Confirmed` once the customer has actually confirmed they'll receive and pay on delivery — that status is what hands the order off to dispatch, so treat it as a promise, not a guess.
