# You're a Logistics manager — where to begin

You own what happens after an order is confirmed: getting it dispatched, tracking it while it's out, and keeping the delivery agent roster in good shape.

## What you can do

* Full access to Deliveries — dispatch, track, and mark orders delivered.
* Full access to the delivery agent roster: add agents, set coverage areas, disable/reactivate.
* View stock levels, so you can check availability before dispatching (you can't edit stock directly — that's Inventory manager's job).
* View orders in delivery context, and see team performance for logistics.

## What you can't do

* No Cashflow, or broad staff management.
* You can view inventory but can't edit stock, run transfers, or manage products — hand that to an Inventory manager.

## Where to begin

1. **Learn the handoff.** Orders arrive in your world the moment they're `Confirmed`. Read [Hand off confirmed orders to deliveries](/docs/operations/deliveries) for the full dispatch-to-delivery flow.
2. **Build your delivery agent roster.** Go to [Manage delivery agents](/docs/operations/delivery-agents) and add the couriers or logistics partners you actually work with, with the areas they cover.
3. **Know the stock rule.** Dispatch checks stock at the delivery agent's location before it lets you proceed — no stock, no dispatch. Delivery, not dispatch, is what actually removes stock. Read [Manage stock and waybills](/docs/operations/inventory-basics) to understand why.
4. **Use send-to-agent, not call-the-customer.** Deliveries is a handoff to your delivery agent, not a customer conversation — use **Send to delivery agent** and **Copy** to get order details to them fast.

## What good looks like

Nothing sits in `Confirmed` waiting on you for more than a day. Every dispatched order gets marked `Delivered` (or `Rescheduled`/`Cancelled`) promptly, because that's what unlocks stock accuracy and lets [Remittance](/docs/finance/remittance) start tracking what the agent owes.
