# Read your dashboard

> What each dashboard number means and why revenue can lag delivered orders.

# Read your dashboard

Dashboard is your store's home screen — a snapshot of sales, orders, deliveries, and stock health for whatever time range and product you pick.

## What you see

* **Filters at the top.** Choose one product or all of them, and a date range (defaults to today).
* **KPI row.** Total revenue, total orders, delivery rate, and average order value — each with a small trend line and a percent change against the previous period.
* **Performance trend.** A 7-day chart you can toggle between Revenue, Orders, and Deliveries.
* **Order status breakdown.** A donut of Delivered, In transit, Processing, Cancelled, and Pending confirmation — tap a slice to jump to that filtered order list.
* **Recent orders, top products, top staff, and inventory alerts** at the bottom. Inventory alerts flag products at or below 20 units on hand, with a stricter warning under 5.

## Why revenue can look behind delivered orders

Revenue on the dashboard only counts orders once the money has actually been remitted — not just delivered. If you deliver ten orders today but the delivery agent hasn't handed over the cash yet, your delivered count moves but revenue doesn't, yet. That's not a bug — it's the same rule that keeps your Cashflow numbers honest: [Understand the order lifecycle](/docs/getting-started/order-lifecycle) explains why revenue only counts money you actually have.

## What you see depends on your role

Every widget checks what you're allowed to see and hides itself if you're not — there's no locked or grayed-out state, the row just isn't there. A Sales rep sees their own activity, not the whole team's; an Accountant sees revenue but not order details; and so on. See the [Roles](/docs/roles/owner) section for what each role's dashboard actually looks like.

If you're a Sales rep or another role scoped to your own work, your dashboard shows your own orders only — there's no team leaderboard or org-wide total.
